Carlos Grandela, OD, FAAO
Optometrist

 

Dr. Carlos Grandela is originally from Virginia Beach, VA. He received his undergraduate degree at Brigham Young University, where he met and married his wife, Neltje.

 

Dr. Grandela obtained his doctorate in Optometry at the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. At graduation, he was presented with the Beau Willis Endowed Award for dedication to community service. Following optometry school, Dr. Grandela completed a residency in Low Vision Rehabilitation and Ocular Disease at the Illinois College of Optometry and the Chicago Lighthouse in Chicago, Illinois.

As an optometrist with a focus on Low Vision Rehabilitation, Dr. Grandela is driven to help patients overcome the hurdles of vision loss in order to stay independent and continue the vocation, hobbies, and lifestyle that they love. He is passionate about serving both younger patients with inherited eye conditions as well as seniors who have acquired ocular diseases.

 

Dr. Grandela is bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish fluently. In his spare time, Dr. Grandela likes to spend time with his wife and four children.
